Daily Briefing in Relation to the Military Coup

Since the 1 February 2021 coup, a total of (7,018)people, including pro-democracy activists and civilians, have been killed by the junta and pro-military groups during the Spring Revolution.
Since the coup, a total of (29,479) people have been arrested by the junta in relation to its seizure of power. (22,247) are currently in detention, (10,938) of whom are serving sentences.
These are the numbers verified by AAPP. The actual numbers are likely much higher. We will continue to update accordingly.
According to the data collected by AAPP, from July 1 to 31, 2025, (104) people in total; (49) women and (55) men, were killed by the junta across the country, including (25) children under the age of 18. The identities of these individuals have been verified. Among the (104) deaths, (71) people were killed by the junta’s airstrikes, recording the highest cause of death and (22)people were killed by the junta’s artillery strikes. Among the (104) deaths, Sagaing Region recorded the highest number of fatalities, totaling (44). During the stated period, AAPP has also received information regarding the death of (140) civilians, as a result of the junta’s attacks, whose identities have yet to be confirmed.
On July 29, at approximately 9:30 a.m., junta forces conducted an aerial bombing using high-explosive bombs on Mogoke Township Mandalay Region. The explosions struck Min Ta Dar, Shwe Bon Thar and Ah Shey Ywar Wards, with the bomb shrapnel killing five individuals–Win Kyi, Naing, Win Myint, Eh Lay, and Yii Htay.
During the stated period, the junta arrested (5) people in relation to the Spring Revolution. This includes (4)women and (1) man.
