Daily Briefing in Relation to the Military Coup

Since the 1 February 2021 coup, a total of (6,287) people, including pro-democracy activists and civilians, have been killed by the junta and pro-military groups during the Spring Revolution.
Since the coup, a total of (28,579) people have been arrested by the junta in relation to its seizure of power. (21,833) are currently in detention, (10,334) of whom are serving sentences.
These are the numbers verified by AAPP. The actual numbers are likely much higher. We will continue to update accordingly.
According to monitoring by the Documentation and Research Department of AAPP, on February 10, junta forces launched a ground offensive in Kanbalu Township, Sagaing Region, setting fire to civilian homes and burning down approximately 80 houses. Additionally, on February 12, 13, and 14, junta forces used excessive force, conducting airstrikes across Monywa Township, Chaung-U Township, and Kale Township in Sagaing Region each day, resulting in the death of around 20 civilians and causing damage to schools, monasteries, and homes.
Similarly, on February 13, an airstrike was carried out in Demoso Township, Kayah State, despite the absence of any clashes, destroying several schools and hospitals. On the same day, jet aircraft conducted an airstrike in Pein Hne Kone Village and Kaw Kat Village, Kyaikto Township, Mon State, killing three civilians, injuring more than ten others, and destroying a school and monastery buildings.
