AAPP defines a political prisoner as anyone arrested, detained, or imprisoned because of their perceived or known active role, perceived, or known supporting role, or in association with activities promoting freedom, justice, equality, human rights, including ethnic rights, in association with the pro-democracy movement. AAPP Museum
Visitors to the museum will learn briefly the history of political prisoners in Burma and about their lives in prison. Visitors also have the opportunity to talk with former political prisoners about these experiences and learn more about the work of AAPP.
